Asterisk is a 2D replayable platform adventure game developed during the Ludum Dare 48 game jam. As a sound designer, my job was to create footsteps with a different feel to correspond to different layers.
In FMOD, I used volume automation to make the sound transitions seamless every time the character goes through different layers. I also utilized randomization in pitches and volumes to make the footstep sounds different every time the character walks.
